The club was founded on February 16, 2016. The lyre is an ancient stringed plucked instrument and a symbol of the word "art". The meaning of this word includes all the creative activity of a person – this is music, literature, lyrics, songs, dances, and painting. This club brought together people of the older generation, close in spirit, who are interested in, love and appreciate art.
During the existence of the society, its participants visited many cultural objects, took part in various events, including: an exhibition dedicated to the 220th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin; an exhibition of paintings by the artist Viktor Moon; the Kasteev Museum and others.
Club members can often be found in the Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai, in the State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Lermontov and in the State Republican Academic Korean Musical Comedy Theater, as well as in other equally interesting cultural places.
